Zutruphuk Monastery

Situated at the southeast side of Mt. Kailash, Zutruphuk Monastery at an altitude of 4760 meters is the last monastery to pass by for kora prayers. The monastery houses bronze Sakyamuni statue and the statue of the respected wiseman Milareba. Nearby, there are some footprints being painted red by believers. A legend goes that the footprints were left by Milareba during his long meditation against another siddha.
