Tibet is one of the harshest places for human existence with an averagely low temperature and small temperature gap. It’s distinctly dry in Winter and spring, and rains a lot in Summer especially in July and August. There is a big temperature difference during day and night. Solar radiation is extremely strong; that’s way Lhasa is also called “Sunlight City”. It is suggested to dress in layers and take down jacket even you are planning to visit Tibet in summer, Sunglasses are always required.
