Gyirong County, located in the southwest of Tibet autonomous region, belongs to Shigatse County and is adjacent to the Kingdom of Nepal. Gyirong has a special geographical location. It has a China-Nepal border trade channel and a Gyirong Port for tourists and goods. So the number of hotels here is relatively more than other counties, there are about 8-9 ordinary business hotels, there are countless other guesthouses. Because passenger’s flow difference is not big in different seasons, so the price suffers the seasonal influence lesser.

The hotels here have no star rating, and it is mainly an economic business hotel, which can meet the basically needs of tourists. Infrastructure includes: bedding, hot water, electric kettle, air conditioning, WIFI, and independent bathroom (only a few hotels have toilets), no breakfast and elevator.

Please Note: most hotels are located in Gyirong Town, but you need to pass Gyirong ditch before entering the town. The road condition is unstable, there are many rains in summer, there is a landslide phenomenon in the period, the road is temporarily closed, and only the rest of the hotel in Gyirong County can stay. So please double confirm if you can cancel free before booking a hotel.
